Frequently Asked Questions
How will I get paid?
For the first six weeks which is classed as the training period we will support you throughout your training, while you gain some experience and build on your performance. During this training period you will be given a target number of survey interviews to achieve and a set number of hours that it should take you to achieve this. For the first 2 assignments, you will be paid per interview achieved and we will assess your call patterns and performance and will top up payment if correct call patterns have been achieved.
What are the rates of pay?
This depends on the surveys you are working on as they all attract different rates of pay. Typically you can expect to get up to £90 per working day (an hour’s travel is included in this pay). We also pay mileage and approved expenses on completion of your assignment.
How do I get paid?
You will enter your payclaims on a regular basis and submit them for approval before the pay run deadline which will be given to you on joining the panel. Once approved, these will be processed in our fortnightly pay run direct into your bank account.
How long do the interviews take?
Each survey interview is different but a typical one will take between 20 and 30 minutes
How many surveys a week are we expected to do?
This is dependent on a number of factors such as the length and content of the survey and who you need to interview to meet the quota or project specification. For each project we set a daily target of interviews to achieve based on all of these factors. To work out the number of interviews you need to achieve each day, we also include a certain amount of ‘find time’ which allows for the time it takes to knock at addresses to find the people suitable and available to be interviewed. On a standard 20 minute quota survey, we would expect an interviewer to achieve 7 interviews in a 6 hour working day.
How many hours a week can we work?
This is dependent on your availability and the number of projects you want to work on. Once our interviewers build up their skill level on certain projects, they will be offered other types of work which means that you can increase your hours if you have the availability. If you are also willing to travel to other areas (accommodation and subsistence is paid for this), then this further opens up the number of projects or work we have available to offer you.
We expect a minimum of 18 working hours a week which must include some evening hours (past 5pm) and either a Saturday or a Sunday each week.
Are travel expenses paid?
Yes, both mileage and public transport costs are reimbursed. Mileage is paid at 20p per mile for training and then 32p per mileage when working on projects.
What surveys do you do at the moment?
We have a regular Capibus survey that runs most weeks, this is comprised of questions from different clients and is usually the first project a trainee interviewer works on. We also have a number of high profile Media tracker projects throughout the year. Alongside these, we work on a number of complex Public Affairs projects and smaller ad hoc projects. We have a variety of work to suit different skills and interests of our panel of interviewers.
What is the Assessment and Training Session that I need to attend?
All Training is provided through a virtual platform and we ask you to attend all virtual Sessions, Accreditations and successfully complete all online modules on our Learning Management System, before you are offered any work. The Training allows you to understand the role and the company and identify whether it is something that you wish to do. It also allows us to assess whether we think the role is suitable for you.
Do you pay applicants for Training and Assessments?
You will be paid for successfully completing all online modules and accreditations and for specific coaching sessions.
